I have been updating http://alicekeeler.com/firstslide. In this webinar I will show the basics of updating student Google Slides. You will have already created an assignment for students where they have their own Google Slides and you want to push new slides to their slides.
This is an unofficial Add-on coded by Alice Keeler. It will give you a warning that it is not approved by Google. I did not submit it to Google.
Directions
- Assign students a Google Slides. Each student has their own copy.
- All student Google Slides are in a folder in Google Drive.
- (Note: if a student joins the class late, you can simply add a Google Slides TO THE FOLDER)
- Use the Add-on menu to select First Slide and show the sidebar.
- SELECT THE FOLDER IN GOOGLE DRIVE. This is essential to do first since all the other functions rely on this.
- Use the Add-on menu to select "Everything menu" to see the list of choices.
- At a basic level First Slide takes the text off of the first slide of every Google Slides in a folder and makes a list for you in the spreadsheet. Read everyone's responses and give them feedback in the spreadsheet. Push the feedback back to their Google Slides.
- More advanced feature is to update the students Google Slides by setting a master Google Slides to push slides one at a time to students. Optional to push more than one at a time.
