Google Forms: Pre-filled URL

Why fill out the ENTIRE form??? Use pre-filled links to have some of the form filled out for users in advance.

The feature you did not know you wanted but find out you NEEDED it all along!

  • Open a Google Form in edit mode
  • Go to the 3 dots menu
  • Choose "Pre filled link"
  • Fill out SOME of the Form
  • Click on "Get link"
  • Click on "Copy link"
  • Share the link

This will fill in some of the form for the person you share the link with. Helps you make sure your data is cleaner. Makes it easier for others to not have to fill out every part of the form.

Advanced Feature

"&&"

I was not going to include this with the webinar but if you are an advanced Google Form user you can make a whole bunch of pre-filled URL's fast.

=hyperlink("link","Link text")

In the spreadsheet next to a list of names use the hyperlink formula to link to a pre filled URL. Replace the prefilled information in the Form with cell referencing. For each spot that is to be pre-filled you will replace it with quotation ampersand ampersand quotation. Between the ampersands you will put the cell that has that piece of information. View the end of the video for how to do this.
