Workshop: 6 Ways to Teach with Google Slides

This 6 week Go Slow workshop helps you to practice some new techniques!

I am wanting to make improvements to my Reuse GC unofficial Add-on for Google Classroom users. I have revived a workshop from severa years ago so I can test out reusing mulitiple assignments at once. Join me as I update the workshop to share with you 6 ideas for teaching with Google Slides.

Google Slides

At Teacher Tech we promote a student centered approach to using technology. Traditionally, a presentation tool such as Google Slides is a teacher centered tool. In this workshop I want to help you with some ideas for using Slides in a more creative way. This workshop provides you some tips and templates for using Google Slides for other than a direct presentation.

Join the Workshop

This workshop started in July 2024. Join before it expires here:

This Go Slow workshop takes place over 6 weeks in Google Classroom. Your school most likely blocks your school account from joining, if that is the case you’ll need to join with a personal Gmail account.

How "Go Slow Workshops" Work

This workshop is for you and not for a grade. I will interact! Please leave private comments in the assignments. You can choose to participate as much or as little as you like. Consider at least signing in each week, let’s me know you’re still interested in the workshop.

A new set of activities is released each week. They are intended for you to try them out with students… obviously since it is summer this is not really possible, but try to create the activities if possible to be ready for fall.
